Getting Started
One of the best ways to get better at tough conversations is to practice. Repeated practice helps reduce the anxiety that often comes from the fear of the unknown.
We can't replace humans when it comes to conversation, but AI definitely has its place. It's available anytime—whether it's late at night or right before a meeting—and it never gets tired.
What sets Tough Tongue AI apart? It can capture video input, giving you the opportunity to practice and receive feedback on your nonverbal cues—facial expressions, posture, gestures, and more. It's audio input/output is dramaticly better in terms of quality and latency than any other AI conversation app.
With Tough Tongue AI, you can stumble, stammer, and say the weirdest stuff—then try again until you nail it. No judgment, no sweaty palms, and (almost) no awkward pauses. The AI isn't perfect, but it's here to help!
It can be used in two modes:
Free Flow Mode
- Click the Play button
- Wait for the mic to turn red
- Talk about the tough conversation you've been avoiding
Scenario Mode
Choose from predefined conversation scenarios to practice specific situations:
- Select a scenario from the dropdown (Performance Discussion, Sales Call, Interview Prep, Business Pitch) or library
- If none of the scenarios fit your needs, create your own using Create Custom
- Click Play and begin once the mic turns red
Tip: You can save any scenario for future sessions and choose whether to make it public. Scenarios in your library—including those you create—can also be shared with others.
FAQ
What can I use this for?
We see two main use patterns:
- Practice a tough conversation you've been putting off.
- Help someone else navigate a tough conversation.
For first use case, you can use the free flow mode, pick a scenario from Library or create your own. Examples:
- Prepare for next job interview
- Devise startegy for dicussing salary with your current employer or negotiate rent
- Pratice sales pitch with video and audio feedback
For secomd, create a "customer scenario" and use the "share" feature to share the scenario you created with someone. Examples:
- As a teacher, you can create list of questions for your students to practice.
- As a sales coach, your can create mock sales calls for your sales team to practice.
- As a Product Manager, you can create user discussion scenarios for first round of research
- As a hiring manager, you can create interview to do intial screening

Here is an example of I created "Hyper-Honest Fashion Stylist" scenario and shared with my friends:
How can I embed this in my website?
Use the share button to get the embed code. The code can be copied in either HTML or React. Here is a demo of how to do this:
I can't wait to see what you do with Tough Tongue AI!
What's your monetization model?
Tough Tongue AI is an experiment and free to use at this stage. We want to see how people use it, get back, and build a product that changes how we do tough conversations.
We're are working with some business to automate interview and sales coaching process. If that is something you are interested in, please reach out to us at ajitesh@getarchieai.ai.
Known Issues
- We rely on Gemini Flash 2.0, which has limited context available for audio + video input (typically 15 min). Thus, at present, we can't support super long conversations.
- We can only serve 3 concurrent connection for active session with Gemini at a time (again a Gemini limitation)
- Use Chrome browser for best experience. We test and ensure you have the best experience on Chrome. Audio and recording has issues on Safari.
Happy practicing!
